Kristen K. Tucker    Editor & Publisher

Kristen K. Tucker formed Tucker Publishing Group along with her husband Todd in September 1999 and published the first issue of Evansville Living in March 2000.

Kristen, publisher and editor of Evansville Living, has more than 35 years experience in journalism, public relations, and marketing. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations and English from Western Kentucky University and a master's degree in liberal studies from the University of Southern Indiana.

Kristen serves on the board of directors of the The Catholic Foundation of Evansville, the Board of Advisors for the IU Medical School Evansville, and is a member of Indiana Landmarks Alumnae Braintrust organization. In 2007, she helped to found the Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County. She also is a member of the 114-year-old Social Literary Club. Kristen is the 2003 Athena Award recipient and the 2006 recipient of the Indiana Commission for Women’s Torchbearer Award. Tucker Publishing Group magazines have won dozens of awards through the years from the City & Regional Magazine Association, the Advertising Federation of Evansville, the Evansville Design Group, and the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists.

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Kristen moved with her family to Evansville, her father’s hometown, in 1971. She attended Caze Elementary School, and Castle Jr. and Castle Sr. High Schools in Newburgh, Indiana. Kristen and Todd have two children, Maxwell, 21, a senior at Butler University, and Jackson, 18, a high school senior. Kristen enjoys walking, travel, pilates, and reading.

Todd A. Tucker    President

Todd A. Tucker formed Tucker Publishing Group with his wife Kristen when he left his career in surgical sales to help with Evansville Living's rapid growth. Todd, president of Tucker Publishing Group, has 15 years experience in medical capital equipment and surgical support sales to hospitals.

He received his bachelor of science in liberal studies from the University of Evansville, as well as a master of science in management from Oakland City University. He also has attended classes at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Todd has served on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Youth First, University of Southern Indiana School of Business, and the Economic Development Coalition of Southwestern Indiana and is past chairman of the board of Keep Evansville Beautiful. He also is active in numerous civic and philanthropic organizations. Todd is a weekly contributor on Local 7 and a regular guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at the University of Evansville. He was elected to the national board of directors for the City and Regional Magazine Association in 2008. Todd also is a board member of Southwest Indiana Landmarks and has served on the Holy Rosary School Board. He was recently selected to serve on the University of Evansville Alumni Board.

Todd and his wife Kristen live in Evansville and have two children, Maxwell, born in 1998, and Jackson, born in 2001. Todd is an avid triathlete who has completed 16 marathons and numerous triathlons as well as three Ironman events, including Ironman Louisville in August 2007. He is gearing up for Ironman Texas in 2021.

He has a tremendous passion for bad drumming and continues to coach more youth sports teams than he can count. He and his family are members of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Heather Gray    Creative Director

Heather Gray joined Tucker Publishing Group in November 2009 as art director. She was promoted to creative director in September 2014. She previously worked at Media Mix Communications for nearly 10 years and freelanced for other publications. She received her bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from the University of Evansville in 1999. 

At Tucker Publishing Group, Heather is involved in every facet of design, including conceptualization and layout for all publications. She also is responsible for general production management, social media/digital strategy, custom publishing projects, editorial planning, occasional copywriting/proofing, and numerous techy things as needed.

Heather resides in her hometown of Poseyville, Indiana, with her husband Jason and their four cat kids. A self-proclaimed geek, she has a knack for tinkering with computers and fancies herself an amateur naturalist. In her spare time, Heather loves beachcombing, making friends with little critters, gardening, collecting vintage goods, eating junk food, watercolor/gouache painting, reading, and traveling.

Casey Scarbrough    Graphic Designer

Casey joined Tucker Publishing Group in 2018 as a graphic designer. She previously was a copy editor and page designer for Paxton Media and has worked in journalism as a newspaper assistant editor and in public relations as a university editor. 

Casey grew up in Fulton County, Kentucky, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She enjoys working on ad and layout design and loves the challenge of creating designs that are functional and use aesthetic to communicate and enhance a message.

Casey resides across the river in Henderson, Kentucky, with her husband Layton. As a big music lover her favorite activity is watching live music performances. She also enjoys reading, running, yoga, backyard birding, and traveling when she can.

Zach Straw    Photographer/Graphic Designer

Zach Straw joined Tucker Publishing Group in December 2016 as a photographer and graphic designer. He previously was a graphic designer and then general manager at The Posey County News in New Harmony, Indiana, for nearly 10 years.

Zach earned his associate's degree in multimedia from ITT Technical Institute, Newburgh, Indiana, in 2005. Prior to being hired at Tucker Publishing Group, he freelanced for many local companies and individuals, including Evansville Living and Evansville Business magazines. Zach also stays busy taking wedding photography and family portraits for clients throughout the area.

Zach lives in Mount Vernon, Indiana, with his wife and three children. He enjoys traveling throughout the Midwest, bicycling, swimming, theme parks, and fine art photography (of course!)

Trista Lutgring    Managing Editor

Trista Lutgring joined Tucker Publishing Group in March 2015 as a staff writer and was promoted to managing editor in February 2017. She previously worked as an account representative and feature writer at at The Perry County News in her hometown of Tell City, Indiana.

 Trista earned her bachelor's degree in News Editorial Journalism from Western Kentucky University in 2008. Prior to graduation, she worked on several student online magazines. A massive soccer fan, she has experience writing for many online sports blogs and websites and served as soccer editor for Aerys Sports, a sports blog written and started by women sports fans and writers.

Trista lives in Evansville with her spoiled rescued cat, Nova. She was born and raised in the country just outside of Tell City, Indiana, where her parents still reside. In her spare time, she enjoys writing on personal projects, following the U.S. Men's and Women's National soccer teams, and is a true-crime junkie. Trista also enjoys painting and loves spending time in her "studio" creating pieces for friends and family.

Dallas Carter    Staff Writer

Dallas Carter joined Tucker Publishing Group in September 2020 as a staff writer. She previously worked for Evansville Living and Evansville Business as a freelance writer and the 2019-2020 editorial intern. Carter is a 2020 graduate of the University of Evansville with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and multimedia communications.

Prior to graduation, Dallas worked for UE’s Crescent magazine as editor-in-chief and was a founding member and creative director of Embrace Marketing and Communications, UE’s student-run marketing agency, from 2018 to 2019. She also worked as a crew member for Purple Aces Productions’ ESPN3 program.

Dallas lives in Henderson, Kentucky, where she loves the charm that comes with a small town. She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where her parents, younger brother, and four cat siblings still reside. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time exploring the Tri-State with friends, traveling, and attending concerts.

Riley Guerzini    Staff Writer

Riley Guerzini joined Tucker Publishing Group in 2020 as a staff writer. He previously interned as a news writer at the Dubois County Herald in Jasper, Indiana and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Southern Indiana’s newspaper The Shield.

He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern Indiana in May of 2020. Riley was raised locally in Newburgh, Indiana where he attended and graduated from Castle High School.

In his free time, Riley enjoys watching sports, playing video games, cooking and spending time with his family.

Jessica L. Hoffman    Senior Account Executive

Jessica L. Hoffman joined Tucker Publishing Group in December 2001 as advertising coordinator after receiving her bachelor's degree in advertising from the University of Southern Indiana. She now serves as a senior account executive.

Prior to graduation, Jessica completed an internship with Tucker Publishing Group, as well as advertising internships with SMG Evansville and WNIN Channel 9.

Jessica grew up out in the country in Posey County, Indiana and graduated from North Posey High School. She enjoys running the YMCA’s Half Marathon, reading, traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with her husband Jason and daughter Helena.

Jennifer Rhoades    Senior Account Executive

Jennifer Rhoades joined Tucker Publishing Group in December 2002 as an advertising coordinator. She was promoted to marketing manager in 2005 and became an account executive in May 2010.

Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Southern Indiana.

Jennifer grew up in Posey County. She married John Rhoades, of Evansville, in September 2003, and they reside in Newburgh, Indiana. They welcomed their daughter, Hayden, on Aug. 14, 2007. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family.
